Accreditation is reviewed every 5 years by the BABCP and requires evidence of sustained commitment to self-directed learning of the theory and practice of Behavioural and/or Cognitive Psychotherapy.

This necessitates attendance at symposia/lectures/conferences/seminars and skills based workshops/courses for a minimum of 30 hours per year.

March 2006- present Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist

Subcontracted to Trent CBT for the Condition Management Programme, Chesterfield. This Programme is a partnership venture between the Department of Work & Pensions, NHS and Jobcentre Plus to provide people on Incapacity Benefit with assistance with their mental health condition to overcome barriers to returning to work. It involves a detailed mental health and risk assessment, followed by up to 8 individual therapy sessions.

April 2005 Formation of 'Insight & Action' - own private CBT practice
June 2005 - Feb 2006 Stepped Care CBT Practitioner for the Condition Management Programme, Derby based in Derby city centre Jobcentre Plus office. This involved a mental health and risk assessment, followed by upto 10 brief therapy sessions that emphasised self-help strategies outlined in a CBT-specific self-help workbook.
